Dear Hannah,
Early in February 1997, I purchased the local newspaper, the Sunshine coast daily, to select from Tafe courses advertised in the Noosa area, and came across your advertisement in the back of the newspaper.
I had been in the dating scene for five years, having divorced five years earlier. I was sick of meeting unsuitable people who didn’t make it past a coffee with me, (that’s how “suss” they looked).
I’d just about given up, but thought I’d give it one last shot and rang your office. Well, as they say, that’s my history now, because after the first introduction…….we talked for two hours and arranged to meet for coffee in Nambour the next day as it was halfway. It turned into a two hour lunch, followed a week later by an invitation to lunch in Eumundi, which was also very enjoyable and after which he shook my hand, arranging to come to a live band concert at Verrierdale the following week with my girlfriend and I. On that evening we danced a “slow dance” together,……. he landscaped the house I had built over the previous five years by myself, and we eventually sold our respective homes in Eumundi and Maleny and purchased a large 4 bedroom home together for ourselves and my two teenagers. It is one acre, and we have landscaped it together, renovated it and increased our assets accordingly.
We thank you for introducing us and have learned many life lessons by being with each other. Enclosed is a photo taken on our first date.
Yours sincerely
Raylene A
